Royers Pies

Foodies from all over the state come to the café in Round Top for upscale comfort food. The old-fashioned pie is what keeps 'em coming back. "The crust is the main thing," says owner Tara Royer. It's melt-in-your-mouth flaky. Tara's father, Bud, a.k.a. The Pieman, is famous for his namesake thick, chewy chocolate-chip pie, but the pecan pie deserves a blue ribbon, too.

 

During this years holiday season, we are proud to welcome back Royer’s Pies exclusively at Rice Epicurean Markets. Available Mid November just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Look for these Award Winning Pies in our fresh bakeries and the frozen food department.

Epicurean Fruit Cakes

Our traditional Epicurean Fruit Cakes are baked fresh in our stores. We have loaded this one pound loaf with Glazed Cherries, Texas Pecans, Walnuts, Fresh Dates, and Coconut to make this familiar Sweet Bread. The cakes are moist and delicious. We also have this traditional recipe available in a bite size cookie.
